As a Salesforce Intern, you will work closely with our Revenue and Analytics team to help manage and optimize our Salesforce environment. You’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle and be involved in implementing and supporting various Salesforce features to meet critical business needs. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in CRM systems, specifically in Salesforce administration and development. 

This intern position requires you to be in a hybrid working model (at least 3 days in the office, and 2 days remote) based at the Staples Promotional Products Headquarters in St. Louis, MO.

Target Start Date: June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (11-week program)  

What you’ll be doing:  

  • Perform data entry, data cleansing, and import/export tasks to ensure accurate data quality and integrity
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Salesforce functionalities, user permissions, and data access
  • Help document processes, workflows, and procedures within Salesforce
  •  Provide basic Salesforce support to end-users by answering questions and guiding them through standard processes
  • Assist end-users with login issues, navigation, and basic functionality in Salesforce
  • Create and manage cases for internal assistance requests, ensuring accurate categorization and documentation of issues
  • Assist in creating and maintaining reports and dashboards to support analytics and business decision-making

Learning Opportunities:

  • Gain hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and customization, focusing on the Sales Cloud 
  • Develop skills in data management, including best practices for data integrity, cleansing, and validation
  • Learn the fundamentals of the software development lifecycle in a Salesforce environment

  • Exposure to analytics and reporting to gain insights into data-driven decision-making

What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or coursework with Salesforce.com Sales Cloud is required
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Must be a rising senior, graduating in May 2026, enrolled as a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 college credits
  • Strong data management skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in troubleshooting issues

What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce administration tasks, such as managing users, profiles, permissions, and workflow automation
  • Knowledge of Salesforce reporting and dashboards, with an interest in data analysis
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with ticketing or case management systems is advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce functionality and terms (e.g., objects, reports, dashboards)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
