As a Salesforce Intern, you will work closely with our Revenue and Analytics team to help manage and optimize our Salesforce environment. You’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle and be involved in implementing and supporting various Salesforce features to meet critical business needs. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in CRM systems, specifically in Salesforce administration and development.
This intern position requires you to be in a hybrid working model (at least 3 days in the office, and 2 days remote) based at the Staples Promotional Products Headquarters in St. Louis, MO.
Target Start Date: June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (11-week program)
Note: This position is not eligible for CPT/OPT status.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assist in building a forecasting model for e-store business, leveraging historical sales data and external factors
• Gather requirements from cross-functional partners to optimize sales user data and reporting needs
• Develop and maintain data models from disparate sources, ensuring accuracy and usability
• Create dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and Power BI to improve data accessibility
• Analyze CRM data to identify sales patterns, customer engagement trends, and process inefficiencies
• Assist in mapping the sales organization and customers on territory maps in Salesforce to enhance sales planning and regional insights
• Assist in developing an opportunity tracker in Salesforce and creating a dashboard to monitor its performance
• Collect requirements and define key data points for accurate and granular reporting
• Assist in segmenting customer data to refine targeted sales strategies
What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong MS Office skills – Especially Excel
- Proficiency in Salesforce Reporting and Dashboards, Python, or R for data analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Understanding of forecasting models and statistical techniques is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an interest in data analysis
What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications:
- Enjoy working in teams and being highly communicative.
- Able to multi-task and be flexible to new initiatives.
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce Reporting and Dashboards
- Advanced Excel Skills
