Sr Database (Couchbase) Operations Engineer I

What you’ll be doing:
The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience with Couchbase and DB2, as well as familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL. The DBA will work closely with our development and operations teams to support the overall database infrastructure.
What you bring to the table:
- Manage, maintain, and optimize Couchbase, DB2, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor database performance and implement necessary tuning and optimizations.
- Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place and functioning correctly.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, configurations, and procedures.
- Implement and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with DB2.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Couchbase.
- Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management tools.
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience on Azure DBMS.
