What you’ll be doing:

The Manager Growth Strategy will be responsible for managing vendor partnerships across leading 3P marketplaces, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, eBay, and others. This role is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of supplier accounts, driving growth and profitability, and ensuring optimal performance in terms of inventory management, pricing, and product availability. The Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to optimize processes and strategies that enhance the company’s marketplace performance, with a focus on achieving business objectives.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners, ensuring alignment with marketplace objectives and driving mutual growth.          
  • Account Performance: Manage day-to-day operations of supplier accounts, including inventory planning, pricing optimization, and product availability to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering) to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives that impact vendor account performance.
  • Growth & Profitability: Implement strategies and initiatives that drive sales growth and increase profitability on key 3P marketplaces, focusing on data-driven insights to optimize performance.           
  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, manage replenishments, and forecast demand in collaboration with vendors and supply chain teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.       
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze account metrics, using data to identify and implement process improvements to drive marketplace growth.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of account managers or individual contributors, ensuring alignment with department and company goals.
  • Indirectly influence stakeholders with the vendors they work with.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and development opportunities for direct reports to enhance their skills and performance.

What you bring to the table:

  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and manage a small team of professionals.
  • Analytical Thinking: High proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to use data-driven insights to improve account performance.    
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage complex vendor relationships.    
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with a focus on achieving results.        
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong internal and external relationships.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in buying related functions (buying / merchandising, account management)
  • 3+ years of management experience, overseeing individual contributors or small teams within a related field.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing supplier accounts, with a strong focus on driving growth and profitability across 3P marketplaces.          
  • Solid understanding of marketplace dynamics, including pricing strategies, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience using data analytics tools to monitor and improve account performance.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships on major platforms such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, and others.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and marketplace platforms used to manage vendor accounts and optimize sales.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L responsibilities for supplier accounts.
