What you’ll be doing:

In this position, you will be a central part of our Print sales support team. You will interact with our top print suppliers in managing in-stock inventory, both in our Staples FCs or at 3rd party suppliers. You will assist in managing the flow of inventory in order to drive sales and profit and deliver a superior customer experience. You will have a great deal of responsibility managing products from purchasing through to the end customer.

  • Utilize forecasting/planning/allocation system to order product and ensure smooth flow to fulfillment centers or 3rd party supplier warehouse. 
  • Maintain appropriate levels of inventory through accurate forecasting and reacting to changes in sales trends. 
  • Work with cross-functional partners to successfully execute various product shifts including seasonal buys, and large customer on-boarding. 
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective relationships with vendors to facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and delivery of product. 
  • Track, expedite, and maintain purchase orders. Communicate and escalate critical vendor supply chain issues to minimize impacts to customer service
  • Apply judgment and experience to evaluate and improve system forecasting and re-buy quantity recommendations; Place reorders as needed to maintain stock levels within service level and inventory turn guidelines.
  • Communicate vendor and product issues, accurately and timely, to Sales teams and vendors as needed to resolve.
  • Perform bulk buy analysis to identify opportunities to re-negotiate for a better cost on an item based on annual usage; Identify items that should be discontinued and communicate recommendations to the Sales representative for communication with the Customer. 
  • Work with Sales to establish sell down strategy, buyout and destruction (as needed.)
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relations with vendors and internal departments to facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and delivered product. 
  • Work with vendors, Inventory Analysts, and Print Supplier Relations to achieve timely resolutions to quality control issues. 
  • Develop and provide items sales forecasts to vendors upon request.

What you bring to the table:

  • Previous project management experience
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Self-starter and results oriented
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Flexible team player with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, functioning in a fast-paced environment under regular time pressures 
  • Capable of working efficiently in team and independent situations 
  • Understanding of industry equipment, software and web solutions and how they work together 
  • 2 years of relevant print/digital copy experience (customer service, sales, project management), preferably with business-to-business customers

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong computer and web skills with an ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Print experience
