The Cyber Security Engineer III role involves designing, building, and automating security solutions to protect digital networks, systems, applications, and data. The position requires proficiency in advanced security protocols and standards, vulnerability assessment tools, and penetration testing.

  • The Cyber Security Engineer III is responsible for designing and automating complex security solutions, conducting security process administration, responding to incidents, and providing security consulting services and risk assessments
  • Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the planning, design, installation, and implementation of the network infrastructure.
  • Performs maintenance of file servers and network devices including the restoration of hardware and software.
  • Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system.
  • Works with end users and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues.
  • Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

What you bring to the table

  • Experience with various information security technologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
  • Expertise in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a progressive increase in responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
  • Experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensics.
  • Experience with cloud security, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
