The E-Commerce Leader is a senior manager responsible for the technical oversight, performance, and continuous improvement of the company’s e-commerce 3rd Party Platform. This role ensures that the external platform consistently delivers maximum availability, scalability, security, and reliability to support all business requirements and customer expectations. The E-Commerce Leader collaborates closely with internal technology, operations, and business teams, as well as with third-party vendors, to guarantee seamless integration, rapid issue resolution, and proactive enhancements. This position is accountable for aligning platform capabilities with evolving business strategies, driving technical innovation, and ensuring that the e-commerce infrastructure fully supports current and future business growth.
What you’ll be doing:
• Oversee the technical performance, availability, and reliability of the third-party e-commerce platform, ensuring it meets or exceeds agreed-upon service levels and supports uninterrupted business operations.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal IT teams to manage platform integrations, resolve technical issues quickly, and drive continuous improvements in system architecture, scalability, and security.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to platform uptime, transaction processing, user experience, and system health, proactively addressing potential risks or bottlenecks.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and onboarding of new technologies or platform enhancements to ensure the e-commerce ecosystem remains robust, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders and third-party vendors, translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions and ensuring clear communication on platform capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures for platform management, data integrity, incident response, and change control to maintain high availability and data security.
• Stay current with emerging e-commerce technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovations that enhance platform performance, customer experience, and business agility.

• Efficient integration and management of third-party vendors and technologies, guaranteeing that all business needs are met and that the platform can scale as the company grows.
• Operational excellence and risk mitigation through robust processes for site maintenance, security, and compliance, minimizing downtime and protecting both customer and company assets.
• Cross-functional leadership and collaboration that aligns marketing, IT, operations, and customer service around shared goals, driving unified execution of business strategy.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Information Technology, related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 3 plus years of experience in e-commerce management, operations, or a related digital/analytical field.
• Proven experience managing e-commerce platforms and collaborating with third-party vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and using analytics tools.
• Technical proficiency in e-commerce integrations, platform management, and user experience optimization.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
• 7+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce, including leadership roles or direct oversight of platform/vendor relationships.
• Experience with advanced analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and logistics in an e-commerce context.
• Experience with web development, CMS platforms, and custom e-commerce solutions.
• Demonstrated success in driving digital innovation and leading change management initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
