What you’ll be doing:

The Associate Manager Tech Sales plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building customer relationships, and guiding a team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious sales targets for technology solutions. Leveraging seasoned experience and in-depth knowledge of technical sales processes, this role coordinates critical client engagements, proactively identifies new business opportunities, and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality customer experiences. The Associate Manager Tech Sales also serves as a mentor and coach to junior team members, helping them develop their selling and technical expertise

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed short- and mid-term revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Align sales activities with organizational goals, leveraging knowledge of market trends and customer needs to inform strategies.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales pipeline process, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Track and report on sales metrics, forecast accuracy, and progress toward goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to tailor offerings that address client-specific business challenges.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced members of the sales team, sharing best practices and specialized knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot escalated customer or product issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and technical support teams to design and deliver advanced solutions.
  • Provide market feedback to product and technical teams for continuous improvement of offerings.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
  • Use data-driven analytics to anticipate and prevent potential roadblocks or gaps in the sales process.

What you bring to the table:

  • Leadership & Coaching: Ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a sales team while maintaining accountability for results. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of evaluating market data, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to shape effective sales strategies. 
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. 
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, resourceful, and adept at addressing obstacles before they escalate. 
  • Collaboration: Demonstrates the ability to work effectively across teams, building trust and fostering open communication.
  • 5+ years of technology sales experience (measured by time in a technology-focused sales role).
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales targets (e.g., achieving 100%+ of quota in at least 2 of the last 3 years).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by client presentations or documented sales proposals.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Office

  • Sales Background

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related) in a business or technology discipline.
  • 5+ years of technology sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role (team lead, supervisor, or manager). 
  • Experience in leading or coordinating cross-functional sales initiatives (e.g., multi-department RFPs, product launches). 
  • Technical certifications relevant to the product area (e.g., cloud, cybersecurity, or software certifications).
