This Co-Op position requires you to be in a hybrid working model (at least 3 days in the office, and 2 days remote) based at the Staples, Inc. Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, MA.

Note: This Co-Op position is only eligible for students enrolled in the Northeastern University graduate program and the Tufts University graduate program.

Target Start Date: January 5, 2026-May 8, 2026 (4 months), FT Temp 40 HRS.  

Intern Pay Rate: $21 per hour 

Position Overview:

Are you passionate about helping students launch their careers? Join our dynamic Early Career University Recruiting team as a Co-Op and gain hands-on experience in university relations, event planning, candidate engagement, and inclusive hiring practices. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while developing your professional skills in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage a requisition load with guidance from the University Lead, supporting intern and early career hiring 
  • Screen resumes, source candidates, and assist with initial assessments 
  • Generate and extend offer letters in collaboration with the University Lead and hiring managers 
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews across multiple business units and locations 
  • Assist with planning and logistics for campus events and career fairs 
  • Attend and support on-campus recruiting events 
  • Conduct post-event outreach and follow-up with student leads 
  • Respond to student inquiries and provide timely communication 
  • Partner with the University Lead and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide updates 
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts, including social media 
  • Participate in special projects focused on process improvement and inclusive hiring

What’s Needed – Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, and enrolled as a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 college credits.
  • Must be in your junior or senior year of undergrad 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail - crucial for managing candidate data and reviewing resumes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint)

What’s Needed – Preferred Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated interest in building inclusive pipelines for internships and entry-level positions
  • Understanding of current employment laws, including OFCCP's guidelines for fair hiring practices 
  • Enjoy working in teams and being highly communicative
  • Able to multitask and be flexible to new initiatives
