The Senior Financial Analyst II in FP&A is a leadership track role that serves as the backbone of sales and margin planning in support of our ecommerce business. A seasoned professional with a in-depth knowledge of financial systems, this role demands proactive problem-solving skills, elite communications skill to interface with business leaders across other organizations, and the leadership capacity to mentor junior team members. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting for the business unit and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives. Analyze complex financial information and provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes. 
  • Prepare periodic (monthly, weekly, daily) reports & forecasts on financial performance, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. 
  • Assist in the budgeting and long-term planning process for the business unit. 
  • Build relationships with business leaders and partners to identify & implement solutions to meet planning needs; effectively convey results and ideas to a senior level audience. 
  • Be the SME and trusted partner for a variety of finance related topics. 
  • Take initiative to drive high impact projects & financial reporting while working with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Be a key contributor toward process improvement – make recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and support implementation.

What you bring to the table:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate to the senior executive level.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have flexibility to pivot and reprioritize at a moment’s notice.
  • Highly organized, attentive to deadlines, and a stickler for accuracy and details.
  • Understanding of various forecast methods, trend analysis. Being able to explain variances through mix-rate analysis, waterfall charts, etc.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytical and/or financial-based areas such as business, finance, operations, or economics
  • 6+ years progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, strategic finance / finance business partner, or related roles.
  • Highly proficient in SQL, Visualization tools, Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint for data extraction, manipulation, and communication
  • Ability to be present at Framingham headquarters a minimum of 3 days per week

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA Highly Preferred
  • Experience in Ecommerce or Retail industry
  • Experience in process improvement / automation, using tools such as Alteryx
