As a Senior Art Designer Creative at Staples, you’ll join our dynamic marketing team, dedicated to sharing the Staples story through innovative design and compelling content. Our team leverages customer data and analytics to continuously enhance our customers’ experiences, drive retention, and foster brand loyalty. Your expertise will help ensure the Staples brand is visually represented with a fresh, relevant perspective across all marketing campaigns and materials. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Create innovative new ideas and designs that result in compelling, original content for a variety of digital, video, and print-based assets, with a focus on digital display assets. 
  • Leverage brand identity guidelines and execute against a defined brand style guide to align with key customer segments, business drivers, and campaign objectives. 
  • Ensure the brand is visually represented and maintain a fresh and relevant expression of the brand within marketing campaigns, digital assets, and sales collateral. 
  • Develop on-brief communications in a timely manner, partnering with Project Management and Business/Marketing teams to ensure creative is on brand and on strategy. 
  • Work closely with the Associate Creative Director, Creative Director, project management team, marketing operations, and copywriters to deliver high-impact creative solutions. 

What you bring to the table:

  • Communication: Exceptional listening and customer service skills, strong verbal communication, and the ability to translate agency briefs into breakthrough creative executions. 
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated sense of partnership and caring within the creative team, guiding and inspiring the team’s output. 
  • Business Strategy: Ability to create innovative design ideas and original content for a variety of digital, video, and print-based assets that drive business objectives. 

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of professional-level experience required, within an external or internal agency. 
  • Expertise in designing effective digital communications and relevant design applications & creative software (Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, etc.). 
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as Workfront, Trello, Asana, etc1-2 years managerial/supervisory experience a plus  

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in B2B communications with a strong understanding of fundamental marketing engagement and customer experience practices. 
  • Knowledge of marketing best practices in both B2C and B2B sectors. 
  • Practical experience with Content Management Systems and image management. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
