Our Category Development team determines our assortment of Private Brands products and works cross-functionally to bring those products to life and increase Private Brands penetration. As a Category Insights Manager you will drive Private Brand growth by analyzing product performance, uncovering insights, and making data-driven recommendations that align to Private Brands’ vision and goals.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive Private Brand growth by providing actionable insights for category leads and cross functional partners
- Analyze product performance, business data, and KPIs to identify opportunities and guide product
- development
- Build deep category and customer knowledge while monitoring competitors to deliver insights and
- recommendations
- Establish regular reporting for the Category team, senior leaders and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share insights and keep everyone informed for better
- decision making
- Investigate ad-hoc data questions, often with minimal direction or clarity
- Recommend marketplace assortment strategies leveraging sales and competitor data
- Contribute to category roadmaps and long-term strategies aligned with business goals
- Assist with the development of the annual budget
What you bring to the table:
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable analyzing complex data and distilling it into a meaningful and coherent story, with actionable insights
- Excellent modeling, spreadsheet software and presentation software skills
- Highly curious and asks questions to seek clarity
- Excellent problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong track record taking initiative and driving results
- Can easily manage through ambiguity and find a signal through the noise
- Comfortable navigating matrix organizations
- Effective communicator, including to senior audiences
- Desire to be a part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent modelling, spreadsheet software and presentation software skills
- Excel at analyzing complex data and distilling it into a meaningful and coherent story; identifies the “why” and leads with the “so what”
- Excellent at working effectively in a matrix organization, building strong relationships with partners and influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience creating executive communications (e.g., memos, slide decks, etc.)
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working in retail or e-commerce strategy, consulting, and/or business analytics
- Experience in managing data sets and conducting data analysis using SQL, Tableau, Sigma, and/or Looker

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in retail
