The Associate Manager, Digital Experience, is a key member of the Staples eCommerce team, responsible for delivering exceptional site experiences that engage customers and drive business growth. This role blends expertise in digital platform management, customer journey optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate our digital presence. What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing and executing digital experience initiatives across mobile, desktop, and app platforms, aligning strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Leading projects focused on site enhancements, feature updates, and optimization efforts using data-driven insights.
  • Collaborating closely with marketing, sales, technology, and product teams to craft seamless, customer-focused digital experiences.
  • Coordinating A/B testing, user feedback collection, and data analysis to drive continuous improvements and innovation.
  • Solid foundation in UX/UI principles with the responsibility of collaborating with design teams.
  • Staying ahead of digital trends and technologies to ensure Staples remains a leader in eCommerce innovation.
  • Mentoring and guiding team members, fostering a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Regularly communicating with stakeholders, including senior management, to align strategies and share progress.

What you bring to the table:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to navigate complex organizational structures and present technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects under tight deadlines while achieving impactful results.

What’s needed – Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, or a similar field, with a proven track record of managing digital platforms and enhancing customer experience.
  • In-depth expertise with digital analytics platforms (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), including data interpretation, segmentation, and funnel analysis.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, preferably with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Monday.com.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem (e.g. SEO, SEM, PPC, email marketing, content strategy, and social media engagement.
  • Proficiency with CMS and digital marketing tools to enhance website functionality and engagement (e.g. Bloomreach).
  • Experience coordinating and analyzing A/B tests, usability tests, and conversion optimization strategies.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to deliver digital enhancements aligned with business goals.
  • Skilled at managing multiple stakeholder expectations and delivering projects on time and within budget.

What’s needed – Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in advanced analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, for robust data visualization and strategic decision support.
  • Advanced certifications such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, or Google Analytics Certified Professional.
  • Experience in UX/UI design, including wireframes, prototypes, and specifications using tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
  • Practical application of data science techniques—predictive analytics and machine learning—for customer insights and personalization.
  • Expertise in advanced SEO strategies and tools, optimizing large-scale eCommerce sites for search engines.
  • Background in content strategy and development, guiding SEO-friendly, engaging, and customer-centric content creation.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and personalized campaigns.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
