VR Specialist, Accounts Payable

What you will be doing:
As a Specialist Accounts Payable, you will play a vital role in facilitating the processing of special vendor invoices. You’ll be responsible for researching, responding, and resolving complex issues, as well as conducting vendor reconciliations and settlements. By collaborating closely with our Merchandising group, Supplier Relationship Managers, and Distribution/Fulfillment centers, you’ll help ensure a seamless accounts payable experience while minimizing future disputes and supporting continuous improvement across our finance operations.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Specialized schooling or an associate degree (minimum required).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, with a comprehensive understanding of AP processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with accounts payable processes and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting merger and acquisition payables integration.
- Familiarity with quality control and auditing checks in an AP environment.
- Exposure to internal check processing reconciliations and working with offshore teams.
