What you will be doing:
The SA Print Sourcing Team is responsible for print procurement and service for our Contract Customers. This role excels at building strong customer and supplier relationships while utilizing creative problem-solving methods to meet and exceed customer expectations.The Senior Sourcing Analyst for Print will lead the sourcing and procurement processes for print related services and materials. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and management to support the company's marketing and sales efforts. The individual will ensure that print sourcing activities align with the company's cost-saving strategies and quality standards.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Healthcare team
- Join customer facing meetings with seller as needed to understand customer needs and goals and set expectations around timing
- Receive physical samples from sales to assess, document job specifications, spec and enter details into Staples procurement tool (SoS)
- Partner with Implementations to identify and solve for systems related obstacles
- With minimal supervision, carries out broad assignments to procure finished goods and services for resale, requiring extensive or specialized knowledge of the printing industry.
- Utilizes online quoting tools and systems to procure print product for Staples internal customers (Sales, Sales Support).
- Develops alternative sources of supply, when supplier partners are unable to procure the items required by customers and ensure lowest cost and best-time delivery.
- Collaborates with sales and sales support to develop detailed specifications for various print product categories – RFP’s and Larger Print opportunities specifically. Using these specifications, solicits bids and quote requests to strategic suppliers using the company designated processes and procurement tools.
- Assist with the implementation of Print Program/RFP products.
- Negotiates with Supplier partners to deliver best pricing, solution, and value. Provide sales with proactive communication regarding progress of quote request while working within established deadlines.
- Acquire product knowledge and follow industry trends.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for print services and materials, including commercial printing, marketing collateral, and packaging.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and leverage opportunities in the print sourcing space.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with print suppliers to ensure cost-effective deals and reliable service.
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to understand their print needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.

- Knowledge of all product categories related to custom print manufacturing
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment and fluid organizational structure
- Must be flexible, detail-oriented with strong organizational and information-gathering skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated experience in print procurement and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of the printing industry, including traditional and digital print processes
What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the print industry
- Strong knowledge of systems: Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Noosh/Staples omniSource, Staples Anything Eform, AS400, Commerce Hub, Salesforce.com, Kana, Power BI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in strategic sourcing for a large organization.
- Master's degree in a related field or professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
