Sales Engineer Coordinator

The Sales Engineer Coordinator plays an important role in executing Staples’ go-to-market strategy, working directly with internal and external customers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers, reliable connectivity with key internal stakeholders, and efficient workflow production for the broader Sales Engineering organization.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide various analytical and operational support including but not limited to facilitation of third-party vendor invoices and payments, documentation management, customer PO-issue resolution, and ad hoc tasks related to complex customer projects.
- Effectively manage and facilitate the engagement pathway between internal stakeholders and designated subject matter experts within the Sales Engineering organization in accordance with established prioritization guidelines to maintain consistently favorable SLAs.
- Execute projects in accordance with the Sales Engineering playbook, mitigating unnecessary complexity and promptly escalating any request to deviate outside of scope.
- Drive internal and customer-facing project calls, interacting directly with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation.
- Act as the central point of contact between internal teams (Sales, Development, IT, Customer Support) and external clients to ensure smooth project execution. This includes identifying roadblocks, mobilizing internal resources, and escalating issues as needed.
- Serve as the primary support resource to business developers to coordinate non-selling & support activities that arise throughout the course of an implementation.
- Orchestrate post-implementation, cross-functional efforts to ensure a smooth customer experience and a swift ramp to forecasted revenue and profitability expectations.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in balancing both queue-based work and projects simultaneously; adaptable to working both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective time management skills: must be able to regularly assess and prioritize requests based on urgency and importance, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with team members and stakeholders of both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Ability to identify and understand internal/external customer needs and interests and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently learn systems, tools, and technical processes, including but not limited to: Salesforce, Postman, Service Now, XML Submitter, and more, as well as directly with the 150+ third-party vendors Staples integrates with.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of sales engineer experience or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and AS400 functionality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive time-lines and deadlines
- Clear communication skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of NAD contract customer base as structured within integrated systems
- Maintain extreme levels of focus and attention to detail
