What you’ll be doing:

• Plan, install, configure, upgrade, support, and optimize UNIX systems.
• Participate in monthly compliance reporting and management of systems to Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security requirements.
• Design and implement system to system interconnectivity with high availability and fault tolerance, as well as Domain authentication and various services.
• Participate in weekly infrastructure meetings for project planning, change reviews, and incident resolutions.

What you bring to the table:

• Advanced scripting and programming experience (shell, awk, perl, python).
• Ability to adapt and learn / take on new responsibilities and challenges.
• Good analytical and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills with both technical and management teams.
• Experience in the developing server automation solutions, including automated builds, server maintenance and run-book automation.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a System Engineer Supporting AIX Unix.
• 5+ Years of experience operating / managing AIX NIM services.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting multiple hardware platforms, preferably Cisco UCS and HP.
• Experience with various Networking technologies, Infoblox, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls and Load Balancers.
• Experience with Databases (Oracle, DB2 & SQL server).
• Experience with Veritas Infoscale formally VCS).
• Experience with various storage management solutions, HP and EMC preferred.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and tools.
