We do this through customer insights, analytics, and testing to build a strong innovation pipeline for the future and to bring products and solutions to market seamlessly. We utilize online merchandising and campaigns executed by both humans and automated tools to convert new and returning website visitors into customers. We work end-to-end with our sales, merchandising, finance, logistics and technology teams to provide a world-class, holistic digital experience, growing profitable results in a fun and rewarding work environment. The Senior Manager, App & Loyalty plays a pivotal role in shaping the Staples omni-channel digital customer experience. You will drive the vision and execution for our app and loyalty programs, strengthening customer engagement and repeat purchases. This opportunity empowers you to influence strategy, deliver innovations, and make a direct impact on business growth through seamless digital journeys.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute the strategy and roadmap for the Staples app, focusing on continuous improvement and alignment with omni-channel initiatives.
- Lead loyalty program execution across app, website, and store touchpoints, optimizing customer journeys for frictionless and consistent experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Product, Technology, and external partners to deliver best-in-class features and offers.
- Leverage analytics and customer feedback to advocate for enhancements, personalize experiences, and maximize long-term customer value.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards while managing vendor relationships and budgets for loyalty initiatives.
What you bring to the table:
- Strong understanding of mobile commerce, loyalty programs, and customer journey design in an omni-channel environment.
- Proven ability to influence across teams and drive alignment without direct authority.
- Expertise in analyzing funnel metrics, app KPIs, loyalty ROI, and customer lifetime value to guide decisions.
- Experience applying predictive modeling, segmentation, and AI/ML technologies to digital engagement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to influence at multiple levels of the organization.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of progressive digital experience, with a focus on mobile, app, or loyalty initiatives.
- Demonstrated success driving digital engagement and loyalty programs.
- Previous experience of delivering measurable results.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience influencing priorities and outcomes in matrixed organizations.
- Familiarity with compliance/privacy frameworks and designing with privacy in mind.
- Experience working with vendor platforms and managing partner relationships.
- Technical proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint); willingness to learn new tools and support peer training.
