The Senior Manager Pricing – Marketplace is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that optimize marketplace performance, drive profitability, and ensure competitiveness across multiple digital channels. This role combines deep analytical expertise with marketplace knowledge to set, monitor, and refine pricing policies and promotional strategies. The Senior Manager collaborates cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to support enterprise growth objectives and improve the customer experience. This role is accountable for overseeing complex pricing operations, and leveraging data-driven insights to deliver measurable results.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute innovative pricing strategies that optimize marketplace performance and ensure competitiveness in a fast-paced digital environment.
- Combine deep analytical expertise with marketplace knowledge to refine pricing policies and promotional strategies for measurable results.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to support enterprise growth and improve customer experience.
- Define, document, and communicate pricing department offerings to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Continuously improve pricing models, processes, and governance to ensure consistency and transparency.
- Establish, track, and report on department metrics, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Optimize workflow, resource allocation, and engagement processes for responsiveness and efficiency.
- Serve as primary liaison between Pricing and Sales leadership, aligning execution with customer strategies and profitability goals.
- Lead initiatives to increase adoption of Marketplace pricing strategy across regions and customer segments.
- Oversee analysis of market trends, customer profitability, and competitive dynamics to inform pricing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with pricing policies, contract terms, and relevant regulations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in pricing approaches, tools, and methodologies.

- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Proven experience developing and implementing pricing strategies and processes.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in pricing, finance, sales operations, or related field.
- 2+ years managing pricing or operations at marketplaces, .com, or D2C channels.
- 2+ years in pricing tools, financial modeling, and data analysis.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MBA preferred).
- 2+ years in people management or leadership roles.
- Experience working in e-commerce, distribution, or similar industries; marketplace experience preferred.
- Experience with change management and driving adoption of new pricing approaches.
- Certification in pricing (e.g., Certified Pricing Professional) or similar credentials.
