Project Specialist, Vendor Partner Program

The Vendor Partnership Program (VPP) is a critical part of the Staples merchandising organization, helping strengthen relationships with our most strategic supplier partners while driving sales growth and business alignment. As a Vendor Partnership Program Specialist, you will serve as a key liaison between vendors, merchandising, marketing, and sales teams, ensuring the successful execution of program initiatives, reporting, incentives, and engagement activities.
What you will be doing:
• Partner with vendors and merchants to align business objectives and drive growth opportunities.
• Support annual Vendor Partnership Program renewal discussions and ongoing program administration.
• Serve as the primary VPP contact for Business Essentials categories.
• Ensure execution of digital marketing assets and promotional opportunities.
• Administer seller incentive programs through the MyIncentives/Workstride platform.
• Generate monthly and bi-monthly reporting for vendor partners.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve reporting and operational efficiencies.
• Support additional program initiatives and sampling programs.

What's needed: Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience .
• 2+ years of experience in merchandising, vendor management, sales support, marketing, business operations, project coordination, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting vendor programs or supplier partnerships.
• Experience with incentive platforms and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of retail, merchandising, or B2B sales environments.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
