We utilize online merchandising and campaigns executed by both humans and automated tools to convert new and returning website visitors into customers. Our team also ensures that our mobile and desktop websites and apps are easy to use, delivering the digital experience that our customers expect. At the same time, our teams focus on building and executing a strong innovation pipeline for the future. We work end-to-end with our sales, merchandising, finance, logistics and technology teams to provide a world-class, holistic digital experience, growing profitable results in a fun and rewarding work environment.
The Project Manager, Digital Experience, leads the end-to-end execution of digital initiatives that enhance customer engagement, improve user experience, and drive business performance across Staples’ digital ecosystem. This role is responsible for the strategy, concepting, and execution of site landing pages, navigation structures, and interactive tools within the CMS. The Project Manager collaborates cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, media network, and creative teams to ensure consistency, usability, and performance of the customer experience across platforms.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute site landing pages, navigation structures, and interactive tools within our CMS, aligning with merchandising and campaign objectives.
- Draft visually compelling, data-driven wireframes using Figma to optimize customer engagement.
- Partner with Media Network and Brand Group teams to plan and deploy campaigns, while maintaining detailed schedules and status documentation.
- Manage multiple digital projects, balancing competing priorities and dependencies.
- Maintain key site structures for consistent, user-friendly experiences.
- Lead the creation and execution of interactive tools that educate and guide customers.
- Conduct competitive audits to identify trends and ensure best-in-class digital experiences.
- Analyze customer engagement data using Adobe Analytics, FullStory, and related tools to identify optimization opportunities.
- Escalate and resolve risks impacting timelines, budgets, or deliverables.
- Build strong relationships across product, creative, technology, and marketing teams.
- Present recommendations, prototypes, and performance results to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards, accessibility guidelines (ADA compliance), and UX best practices.
- Apply project management methodologies to improve team efficiency and consistency.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Web Design, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in digital project management, UX/UI design, digital marketing, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Analytics, and CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, or similar.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with FullStory, Google Analytics 4, or similar UX optimization tools.
- Knowledge of SEO, ADA compliance, and A/B testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with retail media, eCommerce merchandising, or omnichannel marketing.
- PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
