What you’ll be doing:
- Provide actionable insights related to compensation plan performance and key performance indicators.
- Create dashboards in PowerBI for Leadership to quickly understand plan performance.
- Maintain a quarterly insights package provided in PowerPoint for Leadership, which includes summaries of compensation plan performance, SPIFF performance, KPIs, etc.
- Model different compensation plan scenarios for new roles, changes to existing roles, changes to sales metrics, etc.
- Model special incentive scenarios, including forecasting, cost analysis, and operational support framework.
- Ensure Incentive Compensation reporting, analytics, and final deliverables are accurately completed, thoroughly validated, and approved according to established schedules and processes.
- Partner across Sales Leadership and other key stakeholders to support the development and administration of incentive compensation plans in line with Staples Incentive Compensation philosophy and current corporate objectives.
- Work together closely with internal partners including HR, Finance, and Legal.

- Experience taking on ambiguous projects, defining the scope, making inferences based on available data, and recommending a solution.
- A proven track record of managing and exceeding stakeholder expectations.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- An eager mindset focused on optimizing sales performance and incentivizing profitable behaviors.
- A desire to “win together”, not just with the Field and your stakeholders, but with your cross-functional partners.
- Ability to create presentations effectively communicate to your intended audience and are of a high enough caliber to be presented in front of Sales Leadership and/or the C-Suite.
- Highly tuned skillset for managing internal customers and external partners.
What’s needed - Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, data analysis, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Incentive Compensation, Analytics and/or Finance.
- Exemplary skills with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Anaplan or similar commission software.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Experience with compensation plan modelling.
