Our team ensures that our mobile, desktop, and app platforms deliver the digital experience that our customers expect.We do this through customer insights, analytics, and testing to build a strong innovation pipeline for the future and to bring products and solutions to market seamlessly. We utilize online merchandising and campaigns executed by both humans and automated tools to convert new and returning website visitors into customers. We work end-to-end with our sales, merchandising, finance, logistics, marketing, and technology teams to provide a world-class, holistic digital experience, growing profitable results in a fun and rewarding work environment. The Associate Manager, Digital Experience, plays a critical role within Staples’ eCommerce organization, helping deliver intuitive, high‑performing digital experiences for our business customers.You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution—using data, customer insights, and collaboration to continuously elevate the Staples digital experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the execution of digital experience initiatives across mobile, desktop, and app platforms, ensuring alignment with Staples’ B2B growth strategy.
- Drive site enhancements and optimization efforts using data, experimentation, and user feedback to improve engagement and conversion
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, technology, and product teams to develop seamless and innovative customer experiences.
- Manage A/B testing, user feedback collection, and data analysis to inform continuous improvements.
- Monitor digital trends and technologies to keep Staples at the forefront of eCommerce innovation.
What you bring to the table:
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align cross‑functional partners.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills to influence and align cross‑functional partners.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and lead projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, including segmentation, funnel analysis, and insight generation.
- Plan and oversee A/B testing, usability testing, and performance analysis.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the use of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Asana, with a track record of successfully leading digital projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of the entire digital marketing ecosystem, including knowledge of SEO, PPC, email marketing, content strategy, and social media engagement, to optimize customer acquisition and retention.
- Proficient in the use of CMS (Content Management Systems) and digital marketing tools to enhance website functionality and user engagement.
- Experience in conducting and analyzing A/B tests, usability tests, and other conversion optimization strategies to improve website performance and increase user satisfaction.
- Solid foundation in UX/UI principles, with the ability to collaborate effectively with design teams to enhance visual design and user experience.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including technology, merchandising, and finance, to ensure that digital enhancements align with broader business goals and deliver ROI.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities and manage various stakeholders’ expectations while delivering projects on time and within budget.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, or a related field with a proven track record of managing digital platforms and enhancing customer experience.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in digital marketing or project management such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Google Analytics Certified Professional, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining industry-standard skills and knowledge.
- Extensive experience in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, with skills in creating wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI specifications using tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
- Strong leadership experience in managing matrix teams and influencing cross-functional projects without direct authority, ensuring collaboration and effective execution across departments.
- In-depth experience with advanced SEO strategies and tools, capable of optimizing large-scale eCommerce sites for search engines and improving organic search results significantly.
- Background in content strategy and development, with the ability to guide content creation teams in producing SEO-friendly, engaging, and customer-centric content.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot, adept at leveraging these tools for enhanced customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and personalized communication campaigns.
- Proficient in advanced analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, enabling deeper insights into data through visualizations and complex reports that support strategic decisions.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
