The Sr. Analyst - Pricing will play an important role in further defining this channel and in building this business. The Sr. Pricing Analyst supports both internal and external STS customers. This associate will ensure that STS is achieving sales and profitability goals while ensuring that the pricing terms & conditions in legal contracts are adhered to. This associate must be an experienced analytical thinker & problem solver and should be able to easily adapt to a fast-paced environment where priorities often shift. This may include, but is not limited to, developing, administering, and recommending pricing strategies to acquire and/or retain corporate accounts, as well as management/administration of custom, catalog (or program), non-core & other pricing components. The
Sr. Pricing Analyst will be responsible for negotiating pricing with suppliers, understanding pricing policies, publishing reports that provide insight into the STS Bids Team activity and results, executing on plans to improve selling profits & shaping demand across STS customers, and curricula and training for associates onboarding and continuing development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Works independently with limited supervision for Large/Complex Formal bids over $2M and is the first call for such RFP assignments (as workload allows).
- Shares responsibility for Daily Bid Assignments to the Bid Team with other Sr Analyst, including the initial bid evaluation, guidance, and prioritization, and provides strategy and advice on RFPs that are assigned to other analysts.
- Provides a second-tier escalation point for the Bid Analyst team.
- Assists management, leading Training and On-boarding of new Associates, including the Development of Curriculum for Training and Onboarding of all Associates on Bid Team policies and procedures. Provides Mentoring for the Bid Analyst team and may collaborate with Bid Analysts on large and/or complex bids by shadowing Bid Analysts on conference calls and providing guidance to address challenges and ensure best positioning and results.
- Coordinates and manages Bid Team reporting for bid activity and bid results, and assists or leads special reporting projects, price/margin increase actions, and ad hoc analysis.
- Makes recommendations for Sales Leadership on complex RFP/RFQ’s for Bid Strategy and Issue Resolution to align on the go-forward strategy. Works directly with STS Sales teams in a consultative role in creating custom pricing models. Makes recommendations related to optimization of product selection, source, and cost to serve to maximize competitiveness and drive sales margin results.
- Engages with the STS Sales teams and other cross-functional departments on all activities related to Bid processes, pricing, services, and margin. Generate customer file structures to be utilized in negotiations, rollout, and account management. Designs customer-specific Pricing and Profitability Plans. Contributes to margin enhancement strategies for the STS Sales organization.
- Influences the design for pricing tools and bid processes used by the Team. Shares best practices with other functional areas. Influence sales leaders to leverage new bid strategies. Continue to advance knowledge of products, services, and solutions.
- Technical training and Certifications in Computing, Networking, and Technical Services desirable.

Qualifications:
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
- 4+ yearsof previous work experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- 1+ year experience with Excel, Access, Power BI, SQL
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
- Experience optimizing customer segmentation or customer lifecycles

- Base salary $75,000 - $83,000 plus bonus
