What you’ll be doing: The Regional Fleet Safety Manager is responsible for the execution and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards designed to positively influence safety within the transportation network. This role will communicate and partner closely with site and regional fleet leadership, and the EHS team to execute and maintain a best-in-class transportation safety program. Primary duties and responsibilities include serving as regional fleet safety support to standardize and harmonize the execution of fleet safety, driver engagement, and regulatory compliance programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Maintain compliance programs with OSHA, NFPA, and DOT FMCSA to include driver qualification, driver training, safety engagement, collision reductions, and continuous improvement strategies
• Execute large scale, complex programs
• Simplify, streamline, and automate business functions to eliminate waste
• Review incident investigation quality and effectiveness of root causes and corrective actions taken.
• Provide weekly and monthly leadership update reports of fleet safety improvements, project status, and glidepath to strategic targets
• Develop and implement layered process audits to ensure programs effectiveness
• Monitor CSA scores, fleet performance, and develop strategies for improvement
• Maintain ability to transition between tactical, strategic, and technical levels rapidly
• Identify new use cases for technology and automation in risk reduction campaigns
• Apply knowledge of project management and lean six sigma methodology
What you bring to the table:
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar industry recognized certification preferred
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations
• Extensive knowledge of DOT 49 CFR FMCSA regulations
• Experience with fleet telematics technology and analytics
• Experience with project management including project sourcing, planning and execution
• Knowledgeable in data analytics and visualization
• Ability to analyze, define, diagnose, and resolve problems based on sound logic and rationale
• Ability to build partnerships with operations leaders and influence without authority
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree: Occupational Safety, Transportation Management, or similar concentration
• 5 years of safety management or leadership experience in the transportation industry
• Microsoft Office tools – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Understanding of data analytics and lean six sigma methodology

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
