Project Manager II, Supply Chain Systems Integration

Team Summary:

Our Supply Chain Systems Integration team helps power the technology, processes, and operational capabilities that keep Staples’ Supply Chain network moving. The team partners closely with operations, engineering, SDS, field teams, and external vendors to implement, support, test, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the systems that support warehouse management, execution layers, logistics, automation, and robotics across new and existing facilities.

Role Summary:

The Project Manager II, Supply Chain Systems Integration will manage and support projects and tasks related to integrating, maintaining, and optimizing systems and software across Staples’ Supply Chain environment. This role will help move projects successfully from start to finish by managing project activities, tracking tasks, coordinating communication, supporting software upgrades, troubleshooting issues, configuring and setting up systems, supporting training, and ensuring the needs of the Supply Chain organization are met.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and support portions of supply chain systems integration projects, including planning, task tracking, communication, execution, and follow-through.

  • Understand complex software used to run key parts of the Supply Chain and how it integrates with other systems, operations teams, and facility workflows.

  • Support multi-site rollout activities and system application changes, including WMS and execution-layer initiatives for new and existing facilities.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in live production and testing environments, helping resolve problems quickly and effectively.

  • Analyze field requests for validity, assess alignment with standard operating procedures, and coordinate realistic completion dates for setup and configuration changes.

  • Meet established deadlines and fulfillment center expectations for approved changes, testing, and project deliverables.

  • Provide expertise in testing and rollout of software changes across facilities and test environments.

  • Assist project leaders throughout the project life cycle and help ensure successful execution from start to finish.

  • Apply knowledge of logistics, warehouse management, automation, robotics, and supply chain processes to support current and future initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners, including operations, engineering, SDS, vendors, and other business stakeholders.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in supply chain, project management, system integration, operations technology, or a related field.

  • Experience managing moderate-sized supply chain integration projects or supporting project execution across systems, processes, and operational teams.

  • Proficiency in multiple areas of supply chain management and systems integration.

  • Understanding of supply chain systems and the ability to support effective implementation, testing, configuration, and rollout activities.

  • Ability to resolve problems and roadblocks as they arise while maintaining progress against deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow and execute defined procedures in both production and testing environments.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.

  • Experience in a supply chain or project management role, preferably supporting systems, implementation, or operations technology initiatives.

  • Advanced knowledge of ERP, WMS, execution-layer systems, and related supply chain technologies.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional project teams and partnering across operations, engineering, SDS, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of supporting on-time, on-budget project delivery.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
