The Paid Media Analytics team helps Staples make smarter marketing investment decisions by connecting campaign, customer, and business data. Working across Marketing, Analytics, Data Engineering, Finance, and agency partners, the team builds trusted measurement frameworks and scalable reporting solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and performance. 

As a Marketing Analyst III - Paid Media Analytics, you will play a critical role in advancing paid media measurement, reporting, and optimization. You will translate complex business questions into scalable reporting frameworks, actionable insights, and data-driven recommendations. Using your expertise in marketing measurement, reporting automation, data architecture, and dashboard development, you will help improve campaign performance, strengthen decision-making, and evolve our marketing analytics capabilities. This role operates with a high degree of independence and offers the opportunity to mentor others and influence how analytics supports the business. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data models, reporting datasets, and pipelines that support paid media reporting and performance measurement. 
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and agency teams to onboard new marketing data sources and support data quality, consistency, metric governance, and adoption. 
  • Develop, automate, and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions covering campaign performance, spend, traffic, conversions, revenue, and return on ad spend (ROAS). 
  • Build scalable data processes and automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability. 
  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile large, complex datasets across media platforms, internal reporting systems, and enterprise data sources to identify trends, quantify business impact, and resolve discrepancies. 
  • Create and maintain documentation for datasets, business definitions, metric calculations, and reporting processes. 
  • Support ad hoc reporting and data requests while helping stakeholders understand available data, metrics, and reporting capabilities. 
  • Monitor reporting environments and identify opportunities to improve the performance, usability, and adoption of analytics solutions. 
  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions. 
  • Provide technical mentorship and analytical guidance to junior analysts, and lead small projects or analytical workstreams through matrix influence.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or a related analytical function. 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using SQL and at least one analytics programming language, such as Python. 
  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or a comparable business intelligence platform. 
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets, relational databases, and data warehousing environments. 
  • Experience with data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and metric governance. 

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in Marketing Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 
  • 2+ years of experience supporting paid media, digital marketing, eCommerce, or advertising analytics environments. 
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or comparable digital measurement platforms. 
  • Experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks, Git, or modern cloud-based analytics ecosystems. 
  • Experience with ETL development, APIs, customer data platforms (CDPs), marketing data integrations, or workflow automation. 
  • Knowledge of marketing attribution, customer segmentation, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, A/B testing, and multivariate testing methodologies.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
