Step into a pivotal leadership role with Staples Digital Solutions as the Senior Manager, IT Delivery Operations. You’ll join a highly collaborative, agile, and forward-thinking team dedicated to driving innovation and operational excellence across our technology organization. Your expertise will ensure our IT delivery aligns with strategic business goals, maximizes value, and supports Staples’ continual growth and customer-centric mission. What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing IT delivery performance by monitoring and analyzing execution against strategic and budgetary objectives.
  • Identifying operational risks, capacity constraints, and performance gaps, and recommending actions for consistent outcomes.
  • Partnering with Finance, Portfolio Management, and Delivery teams to align project execution with financial plans and investment priorities.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and analytic tools to visualize key metrics and ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Supporting annual and quarterly strategic planning by analyzing delivery capacity, project prioritization, and resource availability.
  • Establishing governance frameworks for performance tracking and root-cause remediation.
  • Working cross-functionally with Technology, Finance, and Business Operations to ensure cohesive delivery governance and measurable results.
  • Preparing high-quality executive reports and presentations that clearly communicate outcomes, risks, and recommendations.
  • Leading and developing a small team of analysts and specialists, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity. 
  • Proven track record overseeing delivery performance within large-scale IT organizations.
  • Strong understanding of IT financial management, capacity planning, and project portfolio governance.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing performance dashboards and KPI tracking frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and translate insights into business recommendations.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT delivery operations, technology portfolio management, or financial performance management.
  • 3+ years in a managerial or team leadership role overseeing analytical, delivery, or financial performance teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and analytics/reporting tools.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed enterprise with cross-functional dependencies (Finance, PMO, Delivery, and Operations).
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and related performance measurement frameworks.
  • Experience using enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Clarity PPM for portfolio tracking.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Technology Management, or Data Analytics.
  • Proven ability to drive process automation, data visualization innovation, or technology enablement within delivery operations.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity.  In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
