Our marketing team is charged with an important task: sharing the Staples story. We use customer data and analytics to understand and improve our customers' experiences, drive retention, and encourage brand loyalty. Our diverse team brings together expertise across graphic design, content creation, performance marketing, internal communications, and loyalty and rewards programs to ensure the Staples brand is represented consistently and effectively.

Social media is one of the most visible ways customers, associates, and partners experience the Staples brand. We are looking for a Program Manager, social media to help manage the planning, coordination, and execution of the Staples enterprise LinkedIn and Staples Business LinkedIn channels.

In this role, you will help bring campaigns, brand storytelling, thought leadership, and day-to-day content to life on LinkedIn. You will also help manage Staples social communities and create LinkedIn-native content that allows the brand to participate authentically in relevant conversations and cultural moments.

You will work closely with Brand, Creative, Marketing, and PR teams to ensure content is published on time, aligned with campaigns, and optimized for the platform.

What you will be doing:

Social Content Planning and Coordination

  • Support the creation or capture of LinkedIn-first content, particularly short-form video and trend-based formats.

  • Adapt approved campaign messaging into platform-appropriate social copy.

  • Support LinkedIn thought leadership for Staples, company leaders, and subject-matter experts by turning business insights into engaging, credible content.

  • Help manage the social content calendar across marketing campaigns, seasonal initiatives, partnerships, thought leadership, and brand storytelling.

  • Partner with Brand, Creative, and Marketing teams to gather assets and prepare social deliverables for publishing.

  • Coordinate publishing across the Staples enterprise LinkedIn and Staples Business LinkedIn channels, ensuring posts are accurate and on schedule.

Day-to-Day Social Execution

  • Support the creation and scheduling of posts for the Staples enterprise LinkedIn and Staples Business LinkedIn pages.

  • Draft and edit concise social copy that reflects each brand voice.

  • Apply LinkedIn formatting and content best practices.

  • Monitor channel performance and flag opportunities or issues to the social strategy team.

Community and Trend Awareness

  • Monitor social conversations, trends, and cultural moments that may create relevant engagement opportunities.

  • Amplify thought leadership through brand channels and identify industry conversations where Staples leaders can add a credible point of view.

  • Engage with Staples social communities by responding to comments and joining relevant conversations.

  • Proactively comment on relevant posts where Staples has a credible role to play.

  • Flag noteworthy conversations, comments, and trends to the social strategy team.

  • Support creator, influencer, or partner content coordination as needed.

Reporting and Program Support

  • Track LinkedIn performance metrics and support reporting for key campaigns, thought leadership, and initiatives.

  • Maintain social trackers, calendars, and reporting documents.

  • Use social listening and monitoring tools to help identify insights and trends.

Cross-Team Coordination

  • Partner with Marketing, Brand, Creative, and PR teams on social media needs tied to campaigns and announcements.

  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables with internal teams and external partners.

  • Help keep social media workflows and processes organized and efficient.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Strong interest in social media platforms and digital culture, particularly LinkedIn and B2B audiences.

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for short-form content.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across teams.

  • Collaborative approach and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent related work experience.

  • 4-6 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content coordination, or communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating short-form social video, thought leadership content, and digital publishing calendar.

  • Experience with social management tools, campaigns, and platforms such as Hootsuite, Sprout, TikTok, or Instagram.

  • Experience partnering with influencers, creators, agencies, or marketing teams in retail, B2B, or brand environments.

We Offer:

  • Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups

  • Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays)

  • Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more!
