We are looking for an energetic, innovative, and customer focused SR. HRIS Systems Analyst to join our Staples team and you might be the person we are looking for.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a SR. HRIS Systems Analyst at Staples, you will be responsible for performing and leading the functional activities for HR Systems & Technology implementations, upgrades or on-going administration in support of our Oracle HCM platform.  
  • Functional activities include working with our internal customer groups to understand business needs, facilitate discussions to design business processes, and implement the solutions to solve business needs.  
  • Staples is beginning a new technology transformation. You will have an opportunity to become technically proficient with Oracle HCM and be part of a team that will help our HR stakeholders reengineer business processes based on capabilities provided by the platform.  
  • Our goal is to leverage technology capabilities that will deliver value back the business, all while substantially improving the employee experience with HR services.  Your role will have the opportunity to impact all our HR teams and the thousands of associates and leaders across our organization.  
  • You will partner with your HR Systems teammates to ensure the technical solutions are designed for all Staples’ associates…not just HR.  
  • Not only will you identify opportunities to streamline our HR process and improve our customer experience, but you’ll also gather user feedback on our HR systems, tools, and solutions on a regular basis. 
  • You’ll build strong partnerships with our HR COEs, HR Shared Services, and other business groups across the organization as you will help build our strategic HR systems roadmaps, marrying our partner’s needs with system capabilities. 
  • Our partners will look to you to consult, advise, and guide them on the best course of action when it comes to leveraging HR technology to support their business priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to frame analytic findings in a digestible and business friendly format that identifies key business implications.
  • Ability to multi-task; manage and prioritize workload with minimal guidance.
  • Comfortable driving progress with ambiguity; relying on initiative and the ability to make independent decisions.
  • A passion for innovation and desire to make processes “easy, efficient and impactful” for our associates.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years business related experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Oracle HCM knowledge
  • In depth knowledge of HR and payroll processes, HR data, HRIS structure and design
  • Prior experience implementing or supporting HR systems such as Human Capital Management, Payroll, Labor Management, Talent Management, Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, Learning Management and Performance Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise with a project management tool (JIRA preferred)
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
