What you’ll be doing:
The Senior Marketing Specialist applies communications knowledge, expertise and experience to create relevant, innovative marketing materials, sales tools and content for customers, that ultimately drives incremental revenue and loyalty. They will determine the appropriate mediums for communications and execute timely delivery of these pieces. They will work on multiple projects, ranging from short communications and updates to complex projects, strategies and integrated campaigns. They will define, develop and execute the marketing requirements for brand marketing initiatives, with the goal to improve sales results through increased client awareness of SPP’s branded merchandise programs.
- Work with Manager to manage assigned brand (corporate) marketing budget effectively.
- Make recommendations on strategic brand marketing initiatives as part of annual planning process.
- Adapt to shifting business needs and redesign elements of the brand marketing plan as required, making suggestions for how we continually improve.
- Execute the brand marketing calendar on time and on budget.
- Plan and execute events including Seasonal Trade Shows, National Sales Meeting, Customer Advisory Board, Fashion Shows etc.
- Execute seasonal collections, trend reports and monthly flyers and email cadences, working with merchandisers and vendors to source products; manage spreadsheet and product information.
- Work with Sales enablement and represent Marketing through our vertical marketing strategy and planning
- Execute CASL-compliant digital marketing campaigns.
- Design marketing campaigns, product promotions and public contents to drive incremental sales.
What you bring to the table:
- Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and support functions.
- Detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work accurately but efficiently, adjusting quickly to changing priorities and aggressive timelines.
- Strong project management skills. Innate forward-thinker with passion for driving positive change.
- Proven ability to translate customer needs and market insights into targeted marketing plans
- Proven lead generation skills
- Strong copywriting skills and ability to distill complex ideas into compelling marketing messaging
- Working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities
- Have strong communication skills and business knowledge.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- 5-7 years relevant work experience in marketing or related field
- Marketing and sales experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Proficiency in strategic marketing planning and execution
- Project management skills
- Multi-tasking and prioritizing
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to clients and communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts
- Self-motivated with a desire to always learn, grow and evolve as a superior marketing professional
What’s needed- Preferred:
- Experience with working in Salesforce, in CMS platforms, email marketing platforms, and reporting & analytics platforms (including Google Analytics).
- Marketo platform experience and a passion for the technology industry is a plus
