Pay: This is a Piece Rate position starting at $19.00/Hourly
Shift Hours: 6:00am-3:15pm/Monday-Thursday and 6:00am-11:00am/Friday
What you’ll be doing:
- Determines which work orders need to be inspected and packaged based on priority.
- Selects and assembles boxes or totes to use based on work order.
- Verifies product sizes, colors, and quantities against work order then tears or cuts away embroidery design backings being careful not to cut or damage the product.
- Quality checks to remove solvy when applicable by running the steamer over it, cut any hanging or looped threads off of the design, remove marks as needed using a steamer, button and zips any buttons or zippers on the products that were undone during the embroidery process.
- Stacks and sorts hand-folded, finished products in work area while attaching barcodes, stickers, and hang tags to products when necessary.
- Packages folded products in a clear plastic bag with an adhesive closure while ensuring the correct products are in the correct packing materials.
- Lifts full boxes and totes onto pallet notifies production assistant to come move pallets once orders are completed.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
What you bring to the table:
- Ability to inspect embroidered products to ensure high-quality embroidery design standards are met and inquire with supervisor when design quality and placement are questionable.
- Ability to verify counts against the work order, research and resolve discrepancies, and complete production tracking paperwork while verifying its accuracy.
- Ability to document work order information on the outside of the packing material and attach travelers (i.e., shipping and tracking information) when necessary.
- Communication skills to be able to notify supervisor if the order is short, does not match work order, or other problems encountered.
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to stand and/or walk continuously for three hours at a time
- Ability to read and understand basic English
- At least six months of continuous work history or enrollment in secondary education
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
- Demonstrated ability to be reliable and dependable to complete work assignments
- Strong attention to detail
