What you will be doing:

  • Support sales initiatives by growing selling talent through skill gap analysis, development of sales-oriented training programs, dynamic training delivery, and post-training retention monitoring.
  • Work closely with SPP Sales Leadership to analyze skill gaps and build a comprehensive training roadmap for new sales hires, ongoing skill training, and leadership development.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training content, utilizing the latest technology and best practices to foster learning and performance improvement.
  • Coach and mentor associates and managers across all levels, ensuring skills taught are applied on the job and business metrics are positively impacted.
  • Facilitate both live and virtual training sessions, leveraging innovative tools and techniques to maximize audience engagement and learning retention.
  • Monitor and assess training effectiveness through regular check-ins and coaching support, driving continuous improvement in sales competencies and results.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and stakeholders to ensure training aligns with business strategy and market trends, helping Staples Promotional Products remain an industry leader.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learning in others.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for driving innovation in sales training methodologies and technologies.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and coach sales professionals at all levels, from VPs to field reps.
  • Strategic mindset and business acumen, with a focus on achieving sales targets and business growth.
  • Experience developing and facilitating impactful sales training content and programs.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, CPLP or equivalent work experience required 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing and facilitating sales training content and coaching teams to drive performance.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes and best practices, with experience working with a broad-based sales team of varying skill sets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated organizational, project planning, and multi-tasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in training development, instructional design, or related areas.
  • Experience in digital and multimedia content creation for training.
  • Background in sales or sales management.
