Senior Manager, Personalization

We use customer data and analytics to help us understand and improve our customers’ experiences, drive customer retention and encourage brand loyalty. Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to internal communications and loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the progress of projects associated with Personalization work including bringing updates to monthly leadership meetings for buy-in by VPs and Directors spanning SDS, Product, Marketing, and Digital.
  • Identify and mitigate risk associated with the Personalization corporate initiative and escalate as needed.
  • Work with cross-functional partners on establishing business requirements for Product and SDS teams for high and medium use cases where data and tech are blocking business progress.
  • Facilitate the measurement of the initiative and assist in preparation of materials for measurement check-ins with C-suite. 
  • Help shape the personalization roadmap, leveraging data and insights and tech to deliver personalization.

What you bring to the table:

  • Comfort with doing new things as we a forging a new way of working for
  • Driven with ability to influence cross-functional partners with competing interests.
  • Collaboration skills that engender confidence and trust in a complex matrixed corporate setting.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a corporate-wide initiative spanning 9 teams and multiple workstreams.
  • Experience in change management and developing new business process and driving adoption.
  • Experience working and influencing senior leaders (Directors).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in project or program management in a highly cross-functional role

  • Experience with personalization at-scale
  • Technical background
