We use customer data and analytics to help us understand and improve our customers’ experiences, drive customer retention and encourage brand loyalty. Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to internal communications and loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead Customer Data Council by setting agendas and facilitating discussion with cross functional leaders to drive the goal of data and tech stack that supports Personalization.
  • Prioritize needs of internal customers on an ongoing basis and ensure they are communicated and prioritized by SDS and the Product team.
  • Serve as a trusted and knowledge resource for Staples associates for the technology products under their ownership and drive adoption and full utilization of products; examples include Workfront & Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Project manage efforts to improve on product capabilities to meet needs of the business.
  • No direct reports, but responsible for serving multiple Directors as internal customers.
  • Owns multiple vendor relationships and negotiations with Procurement summing $3M+ expense.

What you bring to the table:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills (ability to influence as well as collaborate) and detail orientation
  • Comfortable working with and sorting through complex technical information and breaking it down to be understood by less technical business partners
  • Project management skills with the ability to adjust priorities in a fast-moving business environment, deliver projects on time, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Experience proactively managing and coordinating multiple projects across internal teams, balancing strategy and tactical execution
  • Experience leading or assisting with broad scale change management and influencing others
  • Meticulous attention to detail with demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness 

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience using technology to drive business impact and working with IT departments and internal customers

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing technology (Martech) experience
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of the creative process and Workfront, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Bynder
