Job Summary

Processes Digital Heat Transfer orders and manufactures identified garments/products with digital heat transfers. This job is cyclical in nature. Operators, review a work order, set up for the order, run the order, tear down after the order, and then begin the process again with the next order. The goal of this job is to process high-quality designs in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner with minimal errors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Utilizes creative skills and knowledge to offer various ID solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Monitors product for quality during all phases of manufacturing; checks precision of detail against specifications and takes action to correct any issues.
  • Enters order as received. 
  • Retrieves artwork from the media bank and downloads into an editable format and edits artwork background to match garment/product color.  Identifies design issues and work with graphics to edit art as needed.
  • Loads appropriate media into printer. 
  • Utilizes VersaWorks program to ensure printer setting are correct and prints artwork.
  • Weeds designs to remove excess media. 
  • Applies masking to artwork and utilizes squeegee to ensure masking is applied securely. 
  • Sets up press to meet product type and specifications. 
  • Measures product to ensure accurate placement in accordance with standard placement charts.  Removes media backing. 
  • Applies transfer with heat press; removes masking after transfer is sealed to product. 
  • Enters placement specifications into database. 
  • Transfers finished product to Inspect or Shipping.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize various software programs
  • Knowledge of company products and capabilities
  • Ability to apply creative skills and product knowledge to offer various product identification solutions to meet various customers’ needs and/or requests
  • Basic math skills with the ability to read a ruler and accurately measure placements
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate with peers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to maintain high work quality with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to be reliable with attendance and job related commitments

 
Minimum Education Required: 
  • High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Prior Related Work Experience Typically Required: 
  • Less than 1 year

Essential Work Environment: 

Work takes place in a well-lighted production environment with loud moving equipment and concrete floors. Work is labor intensive and involves continually repeating processes to mass produce products. Work requires standing for long periods of time.
