Position Summary 
The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) will work on Staples circular program.   He/she will be the AAE for their own merchant and/or services categories and will partner with these businesses to most effectively meet their business partner’s objectives while maintaining Staples brand standards.   The AAE will form strong strategic partnerships with marketing, merchants, designers and pricing.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with your merchant and marketing partners to execute Staples Circular Program.  Meet all printing deadlines and be able to flex style to meet our ever-changing business needs.
  • Develop a strong working relationship within The Agency, CSS and marketing/merchandising teams across all business units. 
  • Responsible for compiling and communicating all circular changes from weekly high-level Ad Forum meeting. Ensure that notes are clear and easily actionable. 
  • Lead bi-weekly priorities meetings when AE is not available.  Be able to discuss where your projects stand and raise any concerns about meeting deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with our printing partners.  Be able to partner with Printer to determine best course of action should a project go off track to still meet deadlines.



  • Bachelor degree in communication/marketing
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in an account service role
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced office.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and oral
