Position Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Process and Compliance role supports the Staples Brands Group’s teams to be more effective by reporting on key performance & compliance metrics to ensure process and product compliance, reporting on product pipeline to ensure we are meeting our corporate & SBG goals, and providing ad hoc analysis to facilitate and validate process and product improvements. 

Responsibilities include managing the reporting out of our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tool to drive audit compliance program, project pipeline/prioritization, dashboard against strategies, OB SKU list, process compliance, and product documentation compliance. The Sr. Analyst will also be responsible for managing and maintaining tools, systems, queries, and reporting for our Own Brand product quality management including testing and inspection programs, online reviews, customer support phone calls, and CAPA (Corrective & Preventative Action) program. 

Key Responsibilities

Impact on Business 

  • Proactively manage the PLM and Quality reporting tools 
  • Provide ongoing reporting & resolve any data issues (including interaction with 3rd party providers)
  • Provide Ad hoc reports and analysis as needed

Innovation and Change 

  • Develop/Enhance analytical tools to assist business teams with process and product compliance improvements
  • Provide analysis to drive business decisions for process & product improvements as well as vendor selection and management

Communication/Interactions: Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties  

  • SBG Process & Compliance Team
  • SBG Leadership Team – provide reporting for decisions
  • SBG Product & Sourcing Teams - adapt/exchange of information, influence
  • SBC Quality Teams- adapt/exchange of information, influence
  • 3rd Party Quality Management Partner – manage getting information / action related to data/reporting
  • PLM IT Management (Internal & External) - – manage getting information / action related to data/reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in data analysis, databases, queries, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with PLM systems would be a plus 
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to put data into a format that is actionable and aids communication with teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with diverse group/team of associates
