Software Engineer III

Work Model: Hybrid, Framingham, MA

What you’ll be doing:

You will be part of TITAN team and partner with both business and technology teams to design and develop in-house data driven solutions for complex decision-making problems through systematic application of computer science, analytics, mathematical optimization, and machine learning as well as applying cutting edge technologies in the areas of Inventory Management, Order Lifecycle (capture, management, and fulfillment), and Supply Chain. Develop algorithms and applications from inception to implementation and collaborate across departments to productionize solutions.

Hands-on ownership designing and developing highly scalable & highly available implementations in public Cloud and on-prem. Participate in the entire SaaS lifecycle driving adoption and scale applying best practices that drive agility and quality. Work closely with product management and program management to derive application requirements, set expectations, and communicate progress.

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of related work experience. 
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Java/Spring/Go.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in UI technologies – nodeJS/reactJS/angularJS.
  • Strong hold on system design and ability to develop highly reliable, fault-tolerant distributed applications with a heavy emphasis on performance and scale in the Cloud.
  • Demonstrated understanding of fast-paced Agile principles with technical designs, iterative development, and code reviews.
  • Well-versed with building high quality software using the industry proven practices – Microservices, Event-driven architecture, 12 factor app, reactive manifesto, and CI/CD.
  • Experience working with Distributed Databases such as Azure CosmosDB, Couchbase, and MongoDB.
  • Experience working with Relational Databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working with Distributed Caching solutions such as Memcached, Redis, and Hazelcast.
  • Experience working with Distributed Messaging solutions such Azure EventHub, Apache Kafka, and Solace.
  • Experience building and optimizing production grade data pipelines (stream processing and batch) to prepare datasets at scale for data analysis, modeling, and optimization.
  • Experience building large-scale systems leveraging open-stack technologies.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience taking an idea from inception to life with an ability to explore a variety of open-source technologies.
  • Experience building large-scale systems with high availability and fault-tolerance.
