What you’ll be doing:

  • First point of contact for all pre-sale transactional furniture requests
  • Primarily focused on supporting customer requests received from the Furniture Sales Consultants (FSC’s) and Account Managers (AM)
  • Provide customer support on inquiries related to furniture product, availability, and recommendations.
  • Provide solutions, quotes, and proposals for transactional furniture opportunities.
  • Effectively manage a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed KPIs.
  • Identify opportunity leads in existing accounts to transfer to FSCs when applicable.
  • Develop selling skills of qualifying, strategizing, sales call tactics, closing, and maintaining service levels. 
  • Learn the primary Staples operating platforms (Sunrise and Furniture Quoting Software).

  • Furniture industry/product knowledge – ability to anticipate competitive positioning and recommend relevant and leading-edge solutions to customers 
  • Ability to manage a successful pipeline
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross functional teams
  • Highly adaptable – able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Highly organized – detail oriented and able to multi-task

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years related experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong computer experience in MS Office Platforms, AS400, furniture quoting software, and Salesforce.com
