I have always felt that, even though it’s a huge corporation, Staples looks out for its associates and I that is how its unique. I also appreciate the fact that Staples is inclusive and makes the effort to improve lives.
Staples is unique due to the leaders. During my tenure at Staples, I have worked for fantastic leaders who have really taken an interest in helping me with my professional development. I have continually been challenged in each role I have had, and I have been recognized for work well done. I appreciate the culture that encourages career advancement.
My career has grown since I started at Staples as a frontline Customer Service Representative, since then I’ve had some amazing opportunities throughout my career to work with and learn from several different teams across the organization. My current role as Learning Advisor allows me to utilize what I’ve learned and apply that to training and supporting others.
My career at Staples has continued to progress since the day I walked in the door. In the last 6 years at Staples I have been promoted in 5 different roles.
I have had the opportunity to work at Staples for 14 years! I started as a temporary contractor filling in for an entry-level Associate on maternity leave, asked for more exposure and responsibility, and have been having fun here since. During that time, I have held various roles across Marketing functions – Customer Acquisition, Targeted Marketing, Loyalty & Development, Strategic Markets, and Digital & Traditional Media to name a few -- and different business units – Retail and Staples.com. Staples not only provided me the opportunity to explore and grow, the company encouraged me to do so! All of my roles at Staples have been heavily cross-functional, which has enabled learning within Marketing, as well as on a broader company level. I have been fortunate to work with a diverse group of talented, team-oriented Associates within Marketing and across the business – that makes coming to work everyday fun, interesting, and engaging.
I chose to work for Staples because I feel like I’ve grown with Staples. This company and these people have been part of my life for so long and Staples has offered me so many opportunities that I can’t really imagine where I would be without them. I feel lucky to have been afforded so many opportunities here.
I choose to stay at Staples because its local for me! It is in my hometown and I decided to move back home 6 years ago and applied for a position in the call center because I heard such great things about working for the company. My mother in law has worked for Staples for over 10 years, and my significant other has worked here for the past 4 years. It is a second home for me and the company goals match my own! I wanted to join because it was local but I stay because I love the work I do and the profession I have made with the company.
I initially chose to work at Staples out of convenience! The Staples retail store was near my college campus. What keeps me at Staples is the people. I work with fantastic people, and I am excited about our go-forward strategy. My colleagues across the country are top-caliber talent, and I am honored to learn from them every day.
