Position Summary

This position is responsible for growing furniture sales and gross margin in a designated area through an assigned furniture sales team.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Coach, mentor and develop sales personnel

2. Effectively recruit and train sales personnel

3. Prepare proposals, presentations and pricing

4. Prepare sales and activity reports, communication & follow up

5. Assists in planning annual goals, appraisals, personnel issues

6. Distributes performance objectives to meet team objectives for sales

7. Develop sales and pricing strategies for customers that increase sales and enhance profitability


• Minimum 5-8 years experience in a business-to-business selling environment
• Management skills (mentoring, coaching, counseling) for sales personnel optimization


• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced selling and negotiation skills
• Working knowledge of furniture product applications
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills and technology competence
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts
• Must be detailed oriented
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrated analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
