Position Summary:
The Social Media Program manager develops and manages innovative paid social campaign strategies across B2B and consumer touchpoints. They will engage with social audiences across all media channels to foster Staples brand awareness and engagement, advocacy, site traffic, lead generation and conversion. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of social campaigns for B2B, seasonal and vendor partnerships 

• Serve as the social media strategic lead for social content creation to drive overall engagement, site traffic, sales conversion and lead generation in partnership with key business units

• Collaborate closely with the creative and social media agency, digital media team, product marketing, and lead gen team to develop strategies, execution and measurement of initiatives 

• Champions the effort to identify and develop influencer strategies, social listening strategies, and social platform audits

• Closely monitors the evolving media landscape and builds recommendations on how to leverage for Staples

• Owns the social media process from conception to execution -- publishing all social content to appropriate platforms in a timely manner and measuring results

• Shares analytics with broader team in a way that is meaningful to the growth of the business

• Identifies best practices based on key learnings

• Serves as expert on core platforms, bringing ideas and opportunities to team and implementation strategies



Oversee key analytics and reporting for social media marketing campaigns:
•Partners with digital team to pull weekly/monthly data and analytics
• Shares analytics with broader team in a way that is meaningful to the growth of the business
• Maintains budget 
• Identify best practices based on key learnings 
Partner with cross functional team on developing creative/efficient campaigns 
• Meets on a regular basis will all key business partners to talk through social strategy and campaign requests
• Facilitates brainstormings and creates social proposals 
• Participates in creative briefs and creative reviews to provide timely feedback and guidance on what drives success on each platform
• Optimizes ways to drive performance and integrate new platform functionality as it becomes available 

Implement the social engagement strategy for Staples social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram and Youtube).
• Builds and execute campaigns to meet objectives by platform 
• Becomes expert on core platforms, bringing ideas and opportunities to team


Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelors Degree Required

• 3-5 years of social media work experience required


Essential Skills Required: 

• Clear passionate and knowledge about social media and its best practices

• Experience targeting small business and consumers

• Experience leveraging social for lead gen

• Highly collaborative and ability to take all inputs to create a clear strategy

• Creative and resourceful

• Effective communicator and analytical thinker that can work well cross-functionally, directly with customers, with great written communication skills

• The ability to understand and carry out a strategy and successfully meet overarching social media and project objectives
