As a Human Resource Intern, you will be involved in assisting to revamp our approach on how we define job responsibilities. We are evolving beyond functional job descriptions, moving to a more competency based philosophy. By doing this we will bring consistency across the company for similar roles. This will allow us to define career opportunities for our Associates within a current or another job family.

 

 

  • Assess job descriptions and build job families
  • Create a centralized repository for Staples job descriptions
  • Assist in converting our HR Team over to this approach

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or similar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Requires the ability to organize data effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collaborative and flexible, with a positive attitude and focus on achieving results
  • Ability to analyze and improve processes
  • Strong time management and organization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
