Position Summary: 

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for implementation, technical support and automation for the Staples B2B infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, day-to-day technical support, proactive monitoring and management, server builds and process automation.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for multiple complex systems and services
• Proactively monitor infrastructure for functionality and optimal performance
• Triage and research root cause of technical and system issues
• Support and contribute to development activities and process
• Manage projects and efforts that require specialized infrastructure and network knowledge and skills
• Contribute to the design and development of a disaster recovery system and process
• Implement, build and provide infrastructure support for all environments
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new products and services
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement regarding policies and procedures
• Follow SDLC process to ensure code is successfully deployed to production
• Participate in agile development processes


Basic Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
• 6+ years overall technical experience
• 5+ years in an Administration or Support role
• 3+ years working with open source and integration platforms
