Product Manager – Supply Chain Order Fulfillment

The Product Manager, Order Fulfillment will support the Supply Chain vision, focused on developing a new order fulfillment logic system, while consolidating and retiring legacy systems.  The Product Manager will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for complex order fulfillment needs, and ensuring those solutions align with the Staples Digital Solutions (SDS) roadmap.  He or she will do this by partnering with the rest of the product management team, understanding stakeholder priorities, addressing un-met customer needs, and seizing market opportunities to define exceptional online solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain roadmap and strategic plans for Order Fulfillment product(s):
  • Develop the near, mid and long term holistic capabilities strategy for building an order fulfillment system which consolidates existing legacy systems. Also, include analysis of assessment of industry trends / customer needs, stakeholder priority analysis, strategy development and implementation planning
  • Drive prioritization of all Supply Chain requests by being knowledgeable about the systems and business
  • Drive execution of the defined strategy, including:
  • Collaborating with other product managers to ensure roadmaps are aligned across domains
  • Improvement of ecommerce experience through new and innovative solutions and capabilities
  • Informing future platform decisions and priorities
  • Leading a cross functional, cross channel team to manage through this transformation from strategy creation to multi-phase, multi-year execution including members from Supply Chain, Staples Advantage ecommerce, Sales & IT.

Basic Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of technical, IT product management, supply chain, ecommerce or backend systems integration experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree
  • Ability to work with senior-level stakeholders and drive prioritization across competing needs and priorities
  • Demonstrated track record of strong execution and experience partnering with technical teams to deliver results
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, industry trends, and technologies
  • Customer-centric orientation with proven track-record of developing and acting on customer insights
  • Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans
  • Proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude and ability to get results with a cross-functional team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate to the senior executive levels
