Position Summary 
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Inside Sales Effectiveness team, you will play a central role in developing and executing the Staples Business Advantage (SBA) inside sales communications strategy as well as supporting field facing operational updates via various channels.  You will liaison to and from home office groups and the SBA Inside Sales team, coordinating intradepartmental and interdepartmental communications and means to increase operational efficiency in SBA Mid Market Inside Sales.    

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy the SBA Inside Sales communication strategy and plan

  • Coordinate communications related to sales effectiveness efforts and productivity

  • Works in the Inside Sales Centers, you will continually look for and escalate ways to drive operational effectiveness. 

  • Works cross-functionally across various departments to gather information and determine appropriate messages in line with key SBA Inside Sales Efficiency initiatives.

  • Ensures field facing communications are aligned with operational process.

  • Creates, manages, and edits content for newsletters, email communications, team meetings/events, hub stories, videos, and other channels.

  • Recommends creative approaches for written and video content to drive engagement. Monitors content metrics and provide input on how to better streamline communications to ensure increased readership/viewership. 

  • Manage Mid-Market Inside Sales Communication – Sales tools, resources, from director down to rep.

  • Creates decks per supervision of the Sr. Manager.  Coordinates intradepartmental and interdepartmental communications.

  • Special projects as requested



  • Bachelor Degree

  • 2+ Years of communications experience 


  • Software: Photoshop and InDesign a plus for newsletters and digital signage 
  • Formal Training – Communications degree
  • Organizational reach—Keen ability to absorb, comprehend, and communicate a message, linking it to strategy and tying it to Staples’ SBA Inside Sales
  • Creative writing—Keen focus on how best to simplify and package complex messages in a way that will make the viewer or reader engaged.  
  • Experience- exploring new communications channels and/or opportunities to bring internal content to life.

  • Project management—Well organized, disciplined, and process oriented. Build key relationships both within business units and functional areas
