Description

Principal Software Engineer is a developer whose main focus is to create or modify complex programs, modules, routines, scripts and data objects from a detailed design where efficiency, performance and reliability affect a major portion of the system. Proficient in the areas of technical specifications, testing and system integration.  Greater involvement throughout the project life cycle with increased emphasis in the design and coding phase. They work under the supervision of a Manager and or a more senior level associate, but are much more independent than a Programmer Analyst. 

 

Primary responsibilities:

 

·        Develop in-depth knowledge of Quill business processes and system environment

·        Create or modify complex programs, modules, routines, scripts and data objects from a detailed design where efficiency, performance and reliability affect a major portion of the system

·        Design, develop, test and implement software functionality

·        Serve as Tech Lead for Major projects assisting with the design and management of developer tasks

·        Partner with the business community to develop solutions

·        Identify, isolate and resolve malfunctions related to software

·        Consult with IS staff and users on technical issues relating to systems

·        Compliance with IS standards, policies and procedures

·        Perform administrative duties, including training, staff meetings, status reports, etc.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Basic:

 

·        Bachelor Degree in Computer Science

·        6 to 8 years’ experience – please highlight the required skills

·        4+ years of  coding experience with ASP.NET(C#), javascript,

·        3+ years of writing complex stored procedures in MS Sql 2005, 2008

·        1 year working experience using MVC framework for web development

·        Understanding of CSS

·        1 year experience with Jquery

·        2+ years of analysis/design work, including direct contact with end users, program/systems documentation work, and preparation of detail design specifications
